Jayci Givens Rhein, 2021-22

After my time as a Masterpiece Fellow, I graduated from medical
school, completed my intern year in Houston, and am now nearly halfway
through my dermatology residency in Philadelphia, PA. I think of
Made a Masterpiece often when I'm encouraging and supporting my
patients with visible skin conditions. Thank you to Dr. Bree for all that she
taught me and for being the role model that she is!

I was inspired by Dr. Bree's mission and her contagious energy and
joy! I love teaching kids and parents about how their skin works, how
to take care of it, and how amazing and beautiful it is. The goals of
Made a Masterpiece lined up perfectly with that, so I knew I wanted to
help the team reach as many people as possible.

The most memorable experience during my year as a Masterpiece fellow
was co-leading our "Love the Skin You Are In" sessions at schools and
groups throughout Houston. We had so much fun chatting with each of
the classes, hearing their stories, and introducing them to our Masterpiece
friends with all kinds of visible differences.
